Solve the Problem. Understand the Customer. Find the Opportunity.

Scott Cameron State Farm is looking for a motivated, relationship-focused Multi-Line Representative to join our growing team.

This is a hybrid role for someone who can provide outstanding customer service while also recognizing opportunities to help customers with additional insurance and financial needs.

You will work with customers who are already calling, visiting, emailing, or interacting with our agency. Those conversations are rarely just service transactions. Your job is to solve the reason the customer contacted us—and then be curious enough to understand whether anything else has changed that we should be helping them with. If you enjoy helping people, asking questions, solving problems, and identifying opportunities, this could be an excellent fit.

As an Multi-Line Representative, you will:
  • Handle inbound customer calls, emails, walk-ins, and service requests.
  • Build strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Assist with policy questions, changes, billing concerns, coverage questions, and other account needs.
  • Take ownership of customer issues and follow through until they are resolved.
  • Review customer information while servicing the account and identify potential gaps or changes in insurance needs.
  • Ask thoughtful questions to better understand the customer’s current situation.
  • Educate customers about available coverage and product options.
  • Identify opportunities involving auto, homeowners, renters, umbrella, life, health, and other available insurance products.
  • Quote and present additional products when properly licensed and appropriate.
  • Schedule or transition customers into deeper insurance or financial conversations when appropriate.
  • Follow up with customers regarding quotes, recommendations, and unresolved needs.
  • Generate referrals and additional opportunities from existing customer relationships.
  • Maintain accurate customer information, documentation, and follow-up activity.
  • Work toward both customer-service and production goals.
  • Participate in ongoing coaching, role-play, call review, and professional development.
Our Philosophy: Service Creates Sales Opportunities

We do not believe customer service and sales should always operate as two completely separate jobs. Great service builds trust. And when customers trust you, they are more willing to talk about what is happening in their lives. That creates an opportunity to ask better questions. Our expectation is not that you force a sales pitch into every conversation. Our expectation is that you pay attention. You solve the customer’s immediate problem, listen for changes, ask appropriate questions, and help them understand options they may not have considered.

What Success Looks Like

Strong Multi-Line Representatives do more than complete transactions. They:
  • Solve customer problems efficiently.
  • Take ownership instead of passing customers around.
  • Build relationships.
  • Listen carefully.
  • Ask questions.
  • Recognize life changes.
  • Identify coverage gaps and opportunities.
  • Make appropriate recommendations.
  • Follow up.
  • Ask for the business when appropriate.
  • Generate referrals.
  • Consistently meet service and production expectations.
You should be comfortable working in an environment where both customer experience and measurable results matter.

You may be a strong fit if you are:
  • Customer-focused: You genuinely enjoy helping people.
  • Curious: You naturally want to understand the customer’s situation instead of simply completing the transaction.
  • Comfortable selling: You are willing to make recommendations and ask customers to take action.
  • A strong listener: You recognize that customers often tell you what they need if you pay attention.
  • Proactive: You look for what else may need attention instead of waiting for someone to tell you.
  • Accountable: You take ownership of both your responsibilities and your results.
  • Organized: You can manage calls, customer requests, quotes, tasks, and follow-ups consistently.
  • Coachable: You are willing to role-play, listen to calls, receive feedback, and improve.
  • Resilient: You understand that not every customer will say yes.
  • Team-oriented: You want to contribute to both your own success and the success of the agency.
  • Comfortable with technology: You can learn multiple systems and work efficiently between them.
Previous insurance, customer service, banking, hospitality, sales, or relationship-based sales experience can be helpful.

However, we place significant value on communication ability, work ethic, curiosity, coachability, and the willingness to learn.

Applicable insurance licensing and training requirements must be successfully completed.

A Different Kind of Insurance Career

This role is ideal for someone who does not want to choose between customer service and sales. You will learn how to do both. You will develop skills in:
  • Customer relationship management
  • Insurance coverage
  • Needs-based selling
  • Consultative questioning
  • Problem solving
  • Cross-selling
  • Referral generation
  • Follow-up
  • Objection handling
  • Customer retention
  • Insurance and financial-services conversations
The long-term opportunity is to become a professional who can handle a customer relationship from beginning to end—not someone who has to transfer the customer every time the conversation changes.

About Scott Cameron Insurance Agency, Inc.

Scott Cameron Insurance Agency is an established, growth-oriented insurance and financial services organization with a strong commitment to our customers, our team, and our community.

We believe great customer service means more than completing a transaction. It means understanding what matters to the customer, helping them recognize potential risks, educating them about their options, and following through when they need us.

We have built a team of motivated people who expect a lot from themselves and from one another. We provide training, coaching, clear expectations, and opportunities for team members who want to grow.

Our environment is energetic, competitive, professional, and fun—but we also believe in accountability. If you want a job where you can simply go through the motions, this probably will not be the right fit.

If you want to help customers, develop relationships, improve your sales skills, and turn everyday conversations into meaningful opportunities, we want to meet you.
Compensation: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
